2010 Boon Island Race
| The Arundel Yacht Club will sponsor the 2010 Boon Island Race on Saturday, 26 June 2010. The race will start at 11:00 AM with a high tide tide at 12:08 PM and a low tide of one foot above mean low water at 5:54 PM. The starting line will be between the Committee boat and FL Bell “1” off Kennebunkport, proceeding to and rounding Boon Island. The finish line (depending on the length of time) will either be between the Bell #1 and the committee boat, or in the event of a late race finish, between the Bell #1 and the “Red Blinking Light” on the breakwater at the entrance to Kennebunk River. |

Entries must be made on official entry form. Print out the online form here. The fee of $25.00 payable to A.Y.C. must accompany your entry form.

COURSE
Starting Line - Between FL”1” Bell and Committee boat
(Keep bell to Starboard side)
1st . Mark - Around Boon Island
(Keep Island on Port)
Finish Line - Between FL”1” and committee boat
(Keep bell to Port side)

OR In the event of NO committee boat:
With FL”1” Bell on Port side, record your own time when you are aligned with Bell and Blinking light at entrance to river.

Total distance: approximately 26 miles.

In the event of adverse sailing conditions, an alternative course may be decided upon by the race participants at the Skipper's meeting on June 26th.
TIDE
High tide will be at 12:08 PM with a height of 8.6 feet above mean low water. Low tide will be at 5:54 PM with a height of 1.0 feet above mean low water.
